Whether your plans are for a formal event with an extravagant reception, or an intimate backyard barbeque - it takes a little thought and planning. Remember, this is your child's debut and first formal event, so cherish every minute and take lots of pictures.

THE CEREMONIAL ENSEMBLE
1. ___ Determine the formality of the service, and your family values
2. ___ Choose the ensemble to match either formal or informal tone
3. ___ Ensure that the outfit chosen is comfortable for the child. We promise, an uncomfortable child will be cranky!
4. ___ Ensure that the proper size is chosen, (it is better to buy a little bit big than too small).
5. ___ Give enough time: to order the ensemble, try it on, and make changes, a suggested 2 week lead time is worth it!
6. ___ Choose coordinating accessories to ensure a flawless look.

7. ___ Dress child in undergarments and wait until just before the service to dress in their special outfit.
8. ___ Ensure that a decorative bib is utilized to save the outfit from inevitable mishaps.
9. ___ Change the child into a “Special Outfit” for the rest of the party, especially when a full formal gown is used for the Ceremony!
